Reviews on GROW! Shampoo & conditioner?

Does it really work? Make your hair longer? Shinier? Thanks in advance!Reviews on GROW! Shampoo %26amp; conditioner?
No dear.

Shiny, yes. Longer, no.

There is no such thing as a magic shampoo that magically makes your hair grow..

The only way you can have you growth stimulated is to eat foods with tons of vitamin B in them.

Or take vitamin B itself, and eat healthy.

If you eat a whole bunch of crap foods that are no good for you it stunts the growth of your hair.

Hartz 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo? any reviews?

I have heard a lot of bad things about some of the Hartz products, but my dog is in desperate need of a bath and I only have the Hartz Groomer's Best 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo and i was wondering if anyone on this site has used it and had any bad things happen to their dog after wards? I really can't make it out to a store to buy a different kind, do you think it would be ok to use it? or should i just rinse her down? or is human shampoo ok for dogs? Any info would be great! thanks!Hartz 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo? any reviews?
ok do NOT use human shampoo as the ph levels are different for dogs skin to human skin and this may cause itching and skin irritations. and its not a bad product at all. but you always get ppl complaining about all kinds of products these days. but its not the best either. i would definitly use it though if i needed to give my dog a bath. then make sure to rinse out thouroghly just like any other dog shampoo. the best shampoos out there for dogs at the moment are the ones that do not contain sulphates like the ';paws'; brand. goog luck with washing your dog :)Hartz 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo? any reviews?
sigh....sure wish people could get over this brainless Hartz propaganda.

All it is cheap, watered down stuff.......NOT dangerous!!!

Human products are far worse.

The question is...why do you imagine that you need to scrub your poor dog to death at all? Dogs are not human, dogs do not need a bath more than once or twice a year!
My friends Husky died because of Hartz shampoo. Hartz products are really bad. I have heard many people say thier dogs/cats have died because of this. Try using dish detergent(sp). It will be a lot safer then Hartz.
I would never use anything Hartz,i heard to much negative stuff about.(you get what you pay for).I don't think anything bad will necessarily happen to your dog,it's just not a good product compared to others.

Debbie O
I think this product is ok; it isn't my favorite dog shampoo but you could go ahead and use it if its all you have on hand for now. In general, I like the Crazydog shampoo, baby powder or coconut scent.
I think he will be safe, but in the future, I use baby shampoo on my dogs, it is gentle and it don't sting their eyes. Good luck.

Zydot shampoo reviews?

Smoked 1/2 a joint six weeks ago. VERY occasional user previous to this. Used Zydot shampoo system for a hair follicle test for a new job. They used scissors and cut hair from my forearm leaving a quarter inch of hair on my arm. I concentrated the shampoo system in this area. What are my chances?

By the way learned my lesson NEVER will do it again!!! So please no lectures :)Zydot shampoo reviews?

Shampoo reviews...help!?

There are 3 brands of shampoo that I am looking into getting....I would like to narrow it down to just one. I've used every drugstore shampoo out there, and nothing seems to work that good for me. So...

Bumble %26amp; Bumble

Aveda

Redken

what are the advantages and disadvantages of these brands? Do they smell good? Price wise?

My hair is long, and it's color treated, although I am no longer dying my hair and don't plan on it any time soon. Right now, it's not at it's healthiest, so I would probably need something for dry/damaged hair. Thanks guys!Shampoo reviews...help!?
Redken is my favorite. It has many different lines, there are different shampoos, cond and stylers for any type of hair. The All Soft line would be good for you as well as a treatment that they make called Extreme. It smells pretty good. Bumble and Bumble smells great but I dont know much about their products, I have mouse and hairspray from them that works well.

The salon products will be more expensive, but I think they are worth it.

Good luckShampoo reviews...help!?
OK I havent used any of those but my cousin uses Hello Hydration by Herbal Essences and her hair is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Or Color me Happy by Herbal Essences will work which is for colored treated hair ---Hope this works for you!! PS depending on where you get it it should be 2 - 4 bucks
Redken is always a good one...i use it and i love it....also another kind is Dove too...

i might buy it. i have dry wavy coarse asian hair. Can u give me reviews on the aussie moist shampoo and conditioner?
It works great at first, but then eventually your hair kinda stops reacting the the conditioner and shampoo and your hair will look gross and dry. I bought pantene about 3 years ago, and have been using it ever since, I even tried to buy something that was a little cheaper, and hated it and threw it away. Pantene is the best in my opinion

I don't want to spend extra money on this product when it'll turn out just like any other.Reviews on Herbal Essences Body Envy Shampoo?

I liked it at first too..but it made my hair felt dry in the long run!!!! Report Abuse

    Hi there,

I've tried it and all that it did was dry my hair out. If you've got money to burn, go to the hair salon and use their products instead.
definitely try it out. I love it! I have incredibly dry hair and it worked great on me. For reference, I'm asian and have curly hair.
Its very good...A friend of mine tried it out and said she felt she did her hair with fireworks...Amazing for Halloween!

it is such a good productReviews on aussie moist shampoo and conditioner?
I find the shampoo is really decent for its price. I prefer salon ones but Aussie is ok.

As for the conditioner...it makes my hair a bit flat and it builds up if you don't switch back and forth with other conditioners. It's not bad either though.

The reason I will buy no Aussie products is because they test on animals. There are companies just as cheap and twice as good who do not do these tests.Reviews on aussie moist shampoo and conditioner?

    Shampoo Review- Answer!?

    Garnier Fructis:

Does the sleek and shine shampoo work? sooo pleaz tell me if it works, and if their is any directions u have to follow to make it sleek!!Shampoo Review- Answer!?
No, not by garnier, but try paneten restoratives frizz control.Shampoo Review- Answer!?
It cleans and conditions your hair, but I used it for a while and never saw much of a difference. The only shampoos that really are any different from the rest are pantene, which makes my hair so smooth, and aussie, which makes my hair smell good for an outrageously long period of time. I alternate between pantene and aussie every few days, and when I use aussie people tell me my hair smells good literally all day long :]

If I were you I'd use pantene shampoo and conditioner and then get a ';deep conditioner'; or ';hair mask'; to use every few days to prevent any damage to your hair and keep it smooth and not frizzy. Then just straighten or blow-dry it with heat protection lotion/spray.

    :]

    I hope this helped!!
    omg, I use that shampoo!

    And, sure...it works.

The smell is awesome:D I love it!!

Just follow the directions on the bottle. And follow with their leave-in conditioner to make your hair extra soft.
that's what I use and for me it works great for me I have blonde fine hair and it does make it very shinny and smooth
dont use that kind it damages your hair my sister used for a very long time and said it sucked after a while

Does Hair Loss Shampoo Zenagen Work? Zenagen Shampoo Review?

There is a new hair loss Zenagen that stops hair loss and alopecia. I am not bald but getting worried I may be starting to lose my hair. Any HONEST feedback. The site is http://www.Zenagen.comDoes Hair Loss Shampoo Zenagen Work? Zenagen Shampoo Review?
Zenagen is the only hair loss prevention product out there that works! I suffered from hair loss and went through a hard time. To give you an idea, my wife divorced me because I was not attractive as I used to be when I lost my hair. Harsh thing for her to do, but it was not something I had control over. A few days after our divorce, my friend Mike found out. He came over with other friends during the game, and he brought me a small gift. I was surprised at first, inside was Zenagen, he told me to try it, I did want to, I was like everyone else, “That stuff isn’t real, its like trash in a bottle.” After a while, out of curiosity, I tried it, and I really have to admit, Zenagen Shampoo is really what it claims. I am not saying this because a friend gave this to me, but because I experienced it. I plan to use Zenagen Shampoo forever for it is one of the best products I have ever encountered. It is also the only thing that works according to me and my friends. With all these fake products out there in the world, I am leaving this review so you can tell what is real and what is not.

The product is: John Frieda Weather Works by Frizz-Ease Weather-Proofing Daily Shampoo and Conditioner. If you have used this, please write your likes or dislikes and a rating from 1 to 10 (ten being super excellent!!).

I'm looking for an anti-frizz hair product, so if youve tried a different one thats worked really well, please give the full name of it. This includes shampoos, conditioners, creams, serum, any anti-frizz hair-care product. Can i have a review on this shampoo and conditioner?
Sorry, I haven't tried that shampoo, but I have an anti-frizz smoothing serum that might to the trick!

I have this frizz serum called SamySilk and I got it on sale for $3.99 (usually like $8.99)! =D

Anyways, it works really well, and you probably think it's too expensive and a waste of money, but you are WRONG. It's one of those products that are part of the 'A little goes a long way' group. I have hair to about.. the middle of my back, a little shorter, and I only use about twice as much as this 'O'. If I use more, my hair will get greasy. I have had it for about a month now and it looks like I haven't even used it yet! Anyway, back to the quality of the product.

It works REALLY well, and that's all I have to say (:Can i have a review on this shampoo and conditioner?
Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are cheap for a reason. They are full of harsh chemicals that strip color and natural oils from your hair and cause damage. They are also full of wax the coats the outside of the hair shaft. Out of these Pantene is the absolute worst and Suave is next, but they are all bad, including John Frieda. If you must use a drugstore brand use Aussie. They use natural ingredients instead of all the chemicals and wax. If you really want to do good by your hair, get some Matrix shampoo and conditioner, they really work better than any brand that I have used. Shampoo cleans hair and conditioner tries to repair it, neither do anything for frizz. Serum is the best thing for that, and the absolute best one avaliable is by American Culture (smoothing cream), you only need a little bit. It costs more than drugstore junk but lasts longer because you do not have to use as much, and it really works!
I've used John Frieda Frizz-Ease serum for a few years now as it works great on my hair.

I havn't used the Frizz-Ease shampoo or conditioner but I've used the Radient Red ones (also John Frieda) but I didn't think they were that great, made my hair feel dry and had to use alot each time so worked out expensive.
i've tried it, it's okay. not the best. but okay.

When i wash my hair and dry it its greasey on top ive tried many diff shampoos never happened beforewat do ido?

i rinse very well but no matter wat my hair is still greasy on the top of my head mostly where my part is ive tried suave tres. dove herbal ess. etc. im confused on why this is happening never had this problemWhen i wash my hair and dry it its greasey on top ive tried many diff shampoos never happened beforewat do ido?
It could be a problem with over washing. Shampoos dry out the hair which is why most people don't shampoo every day. If you're shampooing every day then the shampoo is constantly stripping your hair of it's natural oils and over drying it. It sends your scalps oil glands into overdrive to make up for this extreme dryness and this is what produces the oily scalp and dry hair. Try shampooing less and see if this corrects the problem, but you do have to give it time. If you need to then you can condition your hair without shampoo and this will leave your hair with some moisture without over-drying and it will also keep your hair reasonably clean before your next shampoo - conditioner contain some of the same cleansing properties as shampoo. When i wash my hair and dry it its greasey on top ive tried many diff shampoos never happened beforewat do ido?
Maybe is because you need to leave the shampoo more time in your hair to allow it to work properly, specially if your hair is very oily. This trick will work: In a bottle used for hair coloring, mix water and shampoo. Put the mixture over your scalp and wait 20-30 minutes. Then, wash your hair as you always do. Try to use a clarifying shampoo.

And as the previous person said, only use conditioner in the ends and never close to your roots.

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21鈥?/a>
Try this: After shaompooing your hair, mix 3/4 cup white vinegar and 1/4 water, and give your hair this final rinse (dont rinse it off)

    Good Luck!
You could wash your hair twice.

Also rinse with cold water. I put the water as cold as I can.
you probley don't rinse out the to well enoght i had the same thing awhile ago and i know its not fun.
you shouldn't put conditoner on your scalp because it makes it greasey mayen

Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair

Knowing the facts about the new banning of liquid products on air ports because of recent fail terror plan of liquid explosives, what do you think is the biggest flaw about this new rule?Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair
A lap top should not be confiscated when properly inspected and tested before the flight but liquid products like shampoo and perfumes must be confiscted because these can be used as explosives and can even self-explode while in flight if reacting with other materials even without detonators.Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair
Inviting terrorists to think outside the box. What next?
i think the biggest flaw is believing that it will actually deter any terrorists. what it will do is instill fear into millions of travelers, increase the cost of maintaining airport security (which will be passed on to the air lines, which the airlines will pass onto us, the travelers) and it will lead to more knee jerk reactions every time a plot os uncovered that might have happened using the most arcane of delivery systems. if this keeps up it won't be long before all carry on luggage will be forbidden. all food or drink of any kind--even from the air line itself--will be banned and people will be strapped into their seats by air marshalls toting m-16s; not to move until the flight is landed and docked.

by the way, alll this will only happen in the u.s. as we seem to be the only ones to over react so rediculously. remember the london train bombings? yeah they were back to normal ridership in a month.
if it will save my life ....yes
Why is everyone complaining about tolitrees being confinscated? I think its rather selfish..We almost had 10 plains dropped into the Atlantic Ocean and everyone wants to b.i.t.c.h about things they can buy when they get to their destination..Yes its an inconvinence but isint it better to be safe..and to the British God Bless you for saving the lives of hundreds of innocent people.
There is not a flaw in this rule you either abide by it or you don't get on the plane. If it makes our country safer then so be it !
It's knee-jerk rulemaking. Mickey Mouse stuff.

It would make sense if they placed the ban because they knew of liquid explosives. Doing so AFTER the fact is so, so silly.

    Nobody gets my laptop!
I am a Liberal and I think that air travel is a luxury when put in context with terrorists using our planes as bombs. People need to minimalize when traveling...Send things before you go. I'm exaggerating, but...Travel in your underwear with a toothbrush behind your ear. I think they should limit carry on to the the size of a shaving kit...they could even issue everyone little jump suits before they enter the gates. ship your things UPS and travel light...there should be a extra charge for any carry on or suit cases to cover the cost of scanning them. This is the real deal boys and girls wake up...We have only begun to deal with terrorism...And I'm not talking about Iraq...worry about the trains and public places...if we don't control our borders we are in for it...we don't have to lose any of our rights at home, just relinquish them when we travel.
oh no that is just crazy thinking I find it hard to be leave that someone could take over a plane with just a box cutter.
The biggest flaw is that it is time consuming to search every person's luggage for anything deemed to be a liquid or gel substance.

It's not like it will be much of a setback to pay a few cents to replace a tube of toothpaste, it just makes it more of a hassle to get through security and onto your flight quickly.
Yes, if it is a matter of national interest and security that will save millions of innocent lives. What we can contribute to this effort is to cooperate with the proper authorities to attain a peaceful and safe travel.
it sucks but its 4 saving ppls lifes....dont trip over dumpin ur products.....just next time pack it in the suitcase!

  • What are some of the top horse shampoos - please, only if you have triye dthem yourself!?

My parents used to board horses. I watched them use Mane and Tail on them and then found out I could use it too. I've been using nothing but it for years now. It's very gentle and feels really natural. Smells pretty good too. What are some of the top horse shampoos - please, only if you have triye dthem yourself!?
Mane and tail for sure. I use it for horses, and my own hair.. Best shampoo everWhat are some of the top horse shampoos - please, only if you have triye dthem yourself!?
Hi-Black Burgundy by Rio Vista brings out colour nicely on my pony.

Dawn or Sunlight will do as well, but I wouldn't use them regularly.

It depends on what you want? The dish detergents are good for cutting grease, grime and some stains. If you have a white animal, you might need something differently formulated.

If I want to bring out colour and shine I go for the pricey Rio Vista stuff, if I just have a really filthy pony I go for the dish soap, or Suave works too a la other poster.
cowboy magic is pretty cool along w/mane and tail- they both can be used on horses along with yourself!
i know people will tell yu mail n tail... cowboy magic... blah blah blah but honestly dont bother WASTING the money

    i have a grey andalucian

    and a chestnut tb

on the tb i use baby shampoo, l.a. looks baby conditioner. the baby shampoo repels water and dirt and the conditioner make it soft

and on my grey i use the baby shampoo, the conditioner, and i use colorsafe bleach. and NO it doesnt burn him

    shampoo first

    bleach second

    condition 3rd

trust me this works likea charm
tail and mane you can find them in wal-mart or beauty parlor i've used them myself and on the horses for years its makes there coat shine and soft.
Seriously, use normal shampoo that you would use on yourself. Suave is amazing on horses and will make them so shiny, and smell really nice. The horse shampoos are just over priced and some are really crappy and smell horrible. Don't waste your money on the expensive things.
Can't beat Suave and VO5...great scents and cheap!
Mane N' Tail and good ol' Suave are what I use. :)
Mane and Tail is pretty much the standard shampoo. For tough stains, though, Cowboy Magic works on anything.
Mane and Tail. Boo Hoo. I can't get it anymore, I live in the UK and nobody stocks it. The answers to this question really got me gnashing my teeth. I remember it was great, and I used it myself too. If anybody can send me some please get in touch!
Mane N' Tail. It is GREAT %26amp; fairly inexpensive. You can get it at your local tack shop %26amp; some Wal-Marts carry it now. The price ranges from $6-$10. Mane N' Tail will condition the coat %26amp; put back its original shine. It smells good too! I love it!I have tried the expensive shampoos %26amp; some of them don't work that good. Mane N' TYail has alot of different products such as shampoo, conditioner, inti hoof fungal, hoof conditioner, flyspray, etc...

Oh %26amp; you can also get Mane N' Tail Spray %26amp; Wash

heres a website so you can see it! It works really good %26amp; its easy!

    Wonderblue-works wonderful on white fur

Mane and Tail works too on all others.

However- I go to walmart, buy the nicest smelling Suave that appeals to me, and wash all my non white mules in it. It works just as well honestly.

On my white furred animals like my donkey, he does get the Wonderblue.
oh i have a whole list right here
Mane and Tail is good especially for detangling, u can also get a spray for shows called cowboy magic FANTASTIC STUFF
shampoo for just cleaning i like mane and tail, its good stuff, easy to get and not that pricey, i also like johnson and johnson baby shampoo on my sensitive skinned horses. for showing i like hi ho silver for white horses, actually rio vistas whole line of color enhancing shampoos are nice. theres few other brands that work but i cant remember what they are called.

Why doesn't my shampoo rinse out of my hair(the top of my hiar. i use a med, small amount) what can i do?

Ok, i'll rinse out my hair and it's still oily from the shampoo..it feels thick and heavy when it's dry and then it feels oily. I washed my hair upside down last night and i got some of the oil out from the shampoo, but still feels heavy. know any reasons why? what should i do instead? Why doesn't my shampoo rinse out of my hair(the top of my hiar. i use a med, small amount) what can i do?
First try changing shampoo, maybe that shampoo is used for heavy or curly hair. A very good shampoo for oily problems is Head and shoulders, even if you dont have dandruff.

Your shampoo is not the entire problem, you scalp is. Try not eating so much fat, eat healthy for a month and you will see a lot of change. Also, drink a lot of water, 8 glasses daily at least.

If this doesn't work, then try only to brush your hair when wet and with a comb, brushes make oil in your hair. Also, dont touch it again, if you keep putting your hands on it, you keep putting natural oil and dirt on your hairWhy doesn't my shampoo rinse out of my hair(the top of my hiar. i use a med, small amount) what can i do?
If you always use the same shampoo there is probably a build up in your hair. Try a clearifying shampoo to fix the situation and then buy a few different kinds of shampoo that you like and altranate.
In addition to JimBob's answer get a small amount of vinegar (about 2 teaspoons worth) and dilute it in about a cup of warm water. Rinse your hair, apply the vinegar water to the most troublesome area, the rinse your hair again. That should get the shampoo out for you. Good luck!
Shampoo will not make your hair feel oily, conditioner will. Try using neutrogene t-gel periodically.
USE AN OIL BASE REMOVING SHAMPOO
Your water may be too soft. You may want to try treating your water.
Change your shampoo, go to a shop, beauty salon, ask them. Talk to your Stylist.
try longer to rinse it out...i dunno...maybe change the shampoo you use!!! That would be a better idea...
you need to get a new shampoo...i recommend tresseme...
Try water. It works well when rinsing.
sprinkle a tiny tiny bit of baby powder on your scalp to help remove excess oil.

Over the counter, Pantene has several products for various types of situations with you hair. I love this product because it makes your hair better than when you start, and it smells wonderful. The aroma lasts for several days. If you don't want to use this product you can try a hair supply store where they have people who can lead you to specific products.

Try the Pantene first. You might like the results. Good Luck!

    Top Paw Puppy Shampoo?

Is Top Paw a OK brand of shampoo for puppies? Or is it bad?

Also, what are the bad brands?

Is Hartz bad? (I am pretty sure I got a brush that was Hartz brand)

I know, I know, I should have researched before I went shopping. =/Top Paw Puppy Shampoo?
Not if there's hydrogenated oils or food coloring in it. Read the ingredients or what it says altogether. Then I'll tell you. For, I can't even find a website on Top Paw Puppy Shampoo.Top Paw Puppy Shampoo?
Hartz, Sargents, any of those are a waste of money. They are mostly water. Go to a Pet store such as Petsmart or Petco and use a mild shampoo like puppy shampoo. Also your dog (I assume that is your pup in the picture) is short haired. If that is the case you only need a rubber curry brush. You can get those at the same store as the shampoo. OR if you like to shop online check out www.petedge.com everything you need and great prices to boot.
i use baby shampoo for puppies- its great because when teaching puppies in the bath they tend do jump around a lot and if it gets in their eyes it wont hurt- its the worst thing when bathing a puppy for the first time and they get soap in their eyes- them next time they look at the bath and run! lol

it also has a conditioner built in so you dont need to do both and it is very gentle on their skin
No I think Hartz brushes are really good.

The dog shampoo I use is Hot Dog, fruits and passion.

It's great she smells nice and I've never had any skin problems with it.

Try Basil Mint shampoo by ';Mop';. It is for absorbing excess oil. Make sure your applying and working it mostly concentrated on the scalp area. Shampoo twice.
Avoid Aussie shampoos - they tend to be too moisturizing and heavy. You don't need moisture, you need a really good clarifying shampoo. Rusk makes a really good one. Leave it on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing it out so it can dissolve the excess oil. Good luck.

Cheap shampoo vs. top of the line?

i was reading the back of a cheap shampoo bottle, it said that they do not test on animals and that it was environmental friendly... which is my kind of product. i dont want to use products that when made they harm animals nor when made and used it harms our Earth. but then i picked up a bottle of top of the line shampoo i bought at a Sally's the beauty salon store. it said nothing like the cheap shampoo, i just did research and i came up with this. that brand of top of the line shampoo test on animals and is not evironment friendly.

which is better to use? and your opinion on this issue? what would you use and why?

i would go with a better product then both, one that was better for your hair that also is good for the environment and that does not test on animals?

ur opinion? pleaseCheap shampoo vs. top of the line?
well, im not sure about all proffesional shampoos/conditioners. i only use enviromently friendly hair stuff too.

but you think about it, proffesional shampoos and conditioners probably are for specfic styling methods and react to your hair differntly, so it def. has some chemicals or something like chemicals. which is probably why it works. which is why its probably not good for the enviorment.

so if you realy want to use a proffesional kind, i'd say go for it. or find one that is enviromently friendly. i use matrix sleek line. its not tested on animals and dosent harm the enviroment and boy, it WORKS. im pretty sure all of the matrix lines are the same way. good luck:]Cheap shampoo vs. top of the line?
Some cheap shampoos actually work quite well. I have had the experience of using a cheaper shampoo that actually worked better than the more expensive version. It depends on your hair type. I would try out the environment friendly one because I care about the environment, but I would see if it was available in a trial size to test it on my hair.
Well I would want a salon shampoo that is both environmentally friendly and doesn't test on animals.. Unfortunately I wouldn't call anything Sally's sells top of the line.. They don't have Matrix, TIGI, Ecoly, Sebastian, etc.. They sell Loreal, Wella, Mane and Tail and Tresemme.. Now those products aren't god awful, but I wouldn't sell them in the salon or use them on my head.

Salon sold shampoos are typically guaranteed as well. So if for any reason you don't like it you can return it. Typically cheaper shampoos have more alkaline in them and are not Ph balanced.. They act more like a clarifying shampoo, which can dry and strip.

I am a Biolage by Matrix fan.. Just works for my hair type. Everyone is different.
Well i would like it to be environmentally friendly.
I'd go with the environment friendly. And if it is just regular shampoo, that isn't supposed to work any particular hair issue, I wouldn't bother buying an expensive one in the first place.
well i would use the more expensive one why cause it's not cheap like i use tressmme and it not cheap like dollar store cheap it's afforadale and like top of the line i still would use top of the line if it's OK for your hair i know i fell for the animal but on second though i would want to use anything that's been used on the animal too
i would go with the cheap enviromentaly friendly kind
I have thick hair and its sooo hard to rinse out, I find very often the cheaper shampoo's do rinse better, I use clarifying suave.

Spent 30$ on a bottle last month my hair smelled like pepper and if it leaves a scent in your hair its leaving something else too.

Which is one way to judge safeness If a shampoo has ingredients so strong they out power soap and water, it means there are other things the soap and water wont clean, and other things that will absorb the smell which maybe shouldn't aka it makes the scent a pollutant.

Cheaper shampoos means less ingredients and that's always a good things.

Now as for Environmentally friendly there are a few things you need to consider. Urea aka PEE is a natural common ingredient.

Soap suds, which help lift the dirt from your head, are a major environmental hazard as they float down the stream and don't break down.

so the best shampoo would be pee. I'm not into washing my head in pee.
My friend owns a shop that they use AVEDA (expensive product) and she said that the exact same make up as Herbal Essence just a different scent (same company). Animal friendly.
Well, I would use and environmental freindly shampoo because it pretty much does the same thing which is to clean your hair. There are other hair care product you can use that aren't top of the line but do what those products do. A lot are environmental friendly and you can have something that works like top of the line products but doesn't cost like them. CHECK THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. Most shampoo's have the same ingredients, your just paying for the name.
Well, what do you think is more important? Your hair, or the LIVES of other animals and the environment. If you use something that is NOT environment-friendly, then you are damaging yourself. I would sooo use the cheaper one, cuz sometimes even the topoftheline shampoos dont even work well on your hair. It really depends on what kind of hair u have. is it worth really worth it? I would also want to go with a product that is better for ur hair but also environment-friendly and KIND to animals. But its getting harder and harder to find one of those. For the time being, however, you should just use the cheaper, but not murderous one. Just think, you could save lives.
    If you are only using the cheaper shampoo to serve the purpose of cleansing your hair I would just go ahead and use it. It'll save you money and its environmental friendly. But if your hair need a good cleansing along with other problems such as breakage, dryness, thinning, etc. I would probably invest in a shampoo that is environmental friendly and treats your problemed hair also. Remember its dosent always pay to be cheap ';You Get What You Pay For!';

  • What was the name of the top brand shampoo in the 90s?

Can some one plzzzzzz help me!

Back in the 90s I used to use only 1 brand of shampoo and con. It was the top one going in the 90s it beat pantene. It use to be in a green bottle and Im pretty sure it started with the letter C. It was discontinued about 8-10yr ago.

Its driving me crazy because I just can not for the life of me remember the name of it, altho it was all I would use back then lol.

So if someone could give me the name of it, Ill be turely greatful lol.

Remember its nothing that is still out now and it was only out in the 90s for about 10yrs.What was the name of the top brand shampoo in the 90s?

What is the top, best shampoo/conditioner that you could get at Target or the grocery store?

My hair is basically white-girl hair, normal, thick, but it knots very easily so I have to brush it 20 times a day.

What I want is to have that soft silky hair that you can just run your hands through them without getting in the way of knots.

Cost means very little to me, just the quality (oil-free, etc) matters a lot.

If it's salon shampoo/conditioner then let me know! Also let me know what else I should buy along with shampoo/conditioner if there's anything extra that will make my hair shiny, but most importantly SILKY.

And an extra note, when I say top, best shampoo I'm not exactly looking for your opinion since we might have different hair types. I mean like in general, the best shampoo/conditioner. Thanks everyone! What is the top, best shampoo/conditioner that you could get at Target or the grocery store?
Use CHI Silk Infusion before or after drying your hair. It's expensive but the small bottle has lasted me over two years. It is THE BEST. Look up reviews if you need proof.

As for shampoos and conditioners, I've tried salon brands, but Pantene Pro-V is still the best all around. However, the shampoo won't matter as long as you use the CHI product. What is the top, best shampoo/conditioner that you could get at Target or the grocery store?
Well What I find best is Suave. My favorites are the green and pinks one, do NOT get the purple ones because it gives you dandruff. Plus it helps:

like so u do ur shampoo, rinse it out put in conditioner(keep it in) wash ur body rinse whole self off(including hair) Then put more conditioner(not a lot like a dime size) and then rinse then it should be nice and smooth : )

    *Good Luck!*

I'm not sure what the ingredients are but I have 2 co-workers who swear by Garnier Nutriesse. I noticed that their hair has been really shiny and more smooth so I asked them what they've been putting in their hair and they both switched to this shampoo and conditioner several months ago. They no longer put hair spray or any other products in their hair. They just blow dry and go. I noticed a very nice improvement in their hair and I'll be switching my shampoo and conditioner as a result. What are the top ten shampoos and conditioners?

Expensive- Everything at those uber expensive hair salons! To choose one I'll say Frederic Fekkai

Forget those brands you get at the grocery store. I recommend professional brands. The best by far is nexxus. Read the bottles to find the one that best suits your hair type. Rusk has nice shampoos/conditioners and they have wonderful scents. Redken has great color protector shampoos. Professional brands have much less water in them so you use less. You end up spending only a little more than the cheap brands.

  • Why is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?

And the conditioners have the lids on the base of the bottles? Why is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?
Well its a good job they do, maybe its as people have said conditioner is thicker.. but maybe also its so you can tell them apart.

My dad cant see the writing on shampoo bottles and has got conditioner instead loads of times.. maybe its so people like him can tell the difference lolWhy is it, that shampoo bottles have the lids at the top?
Conditioner is thicker, so it's easier to get out if the lids on the bottom.

If the lids were both on the same end, you would get them mixed up very easily, so this way, you can easily distinguish between the two.
ok people i honestly doubt it has to do with the thickness or anything!...you flip the bottle over newazes to get shampoo out so it has nothing to do with that!....i agree and think it is to know the diffrence between shampoo and conditioner...
THE SHAMPOO IS THINNER THAN THE CONDITIONER..ONE POURS EASIER THAN THE OTHER..
its easier to get shampoo out, the conditioner seems to need help so they put it so the lid is on the bottom and comes out easier/faster =)
To distiguish the difference when using them for in the shower or when then stylist are washing your hair and they don't have time to read if it is a conditioner or shampoo.
not something i've ever thought about before, i'm sure theres a reason though
A squeeze bottle for dispensing viscous liquids of the type having a conventional opening and associated flip lid at the top thereof is provided with a second opening and associated flip lid positioned adjacent the bottom of the squeeze bottle so that the contents remaining when the bottle is nearly empty may be easily dispensed therefrom. Alternatively, the conventional top opening and flip lid may be eliminated and a single opening provided adjacent the bottom of the squeeze bottle. In another embodiment, a squeeze bottle is symmetrically configured to have flip lids of sufficient surface area at each end thereof to permit storage of the squeeze bottle on either end so that the contents may be easily dispensed from the flip lid on which the squeeze bottle rests during storage.

to make a lond story short condioner is thicker than shampoo and it is harder for it to get to the lid if it were the other way around
It's so you don't confuse them when you're using them in the shower.
Because conditioner is thicker...and it would take you ages to get the last drop out of the bottle if they were the other way up!
Cause shampoo is not as thick as conditionder and it also differentiates between the 2 bottles.
When conditioner bottles are right side up it makes it harder to get the conditioner out.
Because conditioner is thicker and harder to get out of the bottle, therefore it is easier when the lid is at the bottom.
I haven't a clue, but had never thought about that before.. interesting question!
coz conditioner is thicker so it comes out the bottle easier if it at the bottom i think xxx

i hear John Freida is the best. but never tried it.

out of the other two, Garnier fructus sleek n shine

sunsilk has so much silicone in it (all of there products) that its bad for ANY hair type as it builds up too much in ur hair.

there are better products for similar prices, better than all three. do some reasearch :-)Top shampoo and conditioner?
sunsilk straighten up definatly, garnier doesnt work well and just made my hair poofy and john frieda is ok but sunsilk is amazing

i do not beleive there are any tresseme ones but hey i could be amazed!!!

    good luck with your hair!
Garnier. The Aussie products are also good. Try a local hair salon for a straightening or shining product that you would use before styling. Evena supercuts should have something that is inexpensive.
out of those 3, john frieda is the best line of products, because they are very close to salon products, and they work really nicely.
    Garnier Fructus Sleek n' Shine
    John Frieda or Sunsilk.

They worked great on my hair and my hair is a little shorter than yours.

My brother started Rogaine a few years ago and it seems to have helped. And it looks like you can get it without a prescription now.

I know it must be hard to lose your hair, but that doesn't mean you're becoming unattractive. Trust me -- my husband's completely bald and he looks awesome!
Nioxin stage 2. It's available in a lot of places.. Trade Secret, Mastercuts, etc. It's not sold at Walmart/Target, etc. It's specially formulated for thinning hair.

My mother %26amp; I both had thinning hair due to hormone problems and this shampoo has turned that around. It does take awhile though.. not overnight.. but probably within 6 months.

--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?

It seems like all the shampoo and conditioner bottles go with this trend, and I'm curious as to why.--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?
I think it's because we use more conditioner than shampoo and it's harder to get out of the bottle so its at the bottom to let it all settle at the bottom--Why do shampoo bottles open at top, conditioner at bottom?
i agreee. ha, idk the answerrrr, but good observationn!!!
My opinion on this has always been that they do it that way so when you're feeling for the bottles and you have soap in your eyes and can't open them, you can still tell which one to use! :D I don't know, but that's my theory.
Ha! Good question. Even though I don't know the answer to your question, I gave you a star!
weird, question because mine all open at the top, never had one yet that openned on the bottom.

What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long hair a little oily at the top and rather dry at the ends?

I am looking for an affordable, cruelty-free shampoo and conditioner that will take care of the dry ends and the oily roots of my hair. Any advice? What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long hair a little oily at the top and rather dry at the ends?
When you wash you hair concentrate shampoo at the roots the rest of you hair will be cleaned as you rinse the shampoo off.

Then when you apply conditioner don't apply it at the roots but just on the dry areas. What's a good shampoo/conditioner for long hair a little oily at the top and rather dry at the ends?
Use any shampoo and conditioner that you can afford. Just use a clarifying shampoo every week and for normal hair every day. First, apply conditioner starting from the tip and lesser as you go upwards to the roots of your hair. Regularly brush your hair to properly distribute natural oil all over your hair.

Usually your situation happens to me, so always have keep a leave on conditioner (Pantene smells great!) or a polish serum from Citre Shine to remove fly aways. Or if you can't find any of these around your regular lotion can help too. Apply it like a regular leave-on conditioner.
Lemon/citrus is good for oily hair.

Try washing your hair in a lemon shampoo and finishing off with conditioner (coconut/almond or anything nutty) applied to the ends only.
i don't have an answer sorry! but i have the same problem as you and i have to wash my hair every day which makes it worse so if you find out please email me and let me no
    pantene
bed head by tigi to a large range of sham;poos and conditioners, they are quite expensive but are very good! they can only be brought in salons and a hair stylist can advise you on the best one! the one from that range i advise is one called self absorbed the shampoo is light and will not dry out your ends, its not at all greasy so it will help improve your oily roots! and make sure you just apply the conditioner to the ends none on the roots!
sunsilk it will leave ur hair soft and silky
    wella shampoo %26amp; conditioner
try klorane they have lots of different shampoos and conditioners to suit all types of hair and they're really good
i've no idea! but i have the same problem with you! i've tried so many shampoo but i doesn't work.
Paul Mitchell One shampoo and Paul Mitchell One leave in conditioner. They are gentle enough to use every day, the conditioner is light and non-greasy on hair and they are not tested on animals.
Try MOP products, they are sold on the QVC website. They are top quality and last for ages. I would never use the high street brands as full of chemicals. MOP is also an organic range.

Also Aveda is another range, bit pricey but hair is your crowning glory after all so worth every penny in my book.
use conditioners they r good like livon marino
tony %26amp; guy daily shine fix shampoo and conditioner costs around 拢5 a bottle and it works for me. I think you'll just have to find which product is for you. Good luck xx
if you can get it, joico. the best stuff ever. you can normally find it in a salon. try to find the big bottles on sale (they do it a lot where you get the shampoo and conditioner in these huge bottles for $20)... i used to use it all the time! it's the one that's called daily care now... they've changed a lot since i used it. (i stopped because i chopped my hair)

How do I recycle shampoo bottles? What about ones where the top doesn't come off?

Do shampoo bottles go in regular plastic recycling? How do I rinse the ones have have a top that doesn't come off?How do I recycle shampoo bottles? What about ones where the top doesn't come off?
Yes, I think they usually go in regular plastic recycling.

Usually you can break the top off the ones that aren't supposed to come off, but if you can't, just try to use all the shampoo and it's not a big deal. When they get to the recycling place, they are all broken up, and anything left inside is filtered out. The recycling centers also make sure each item is in the right place, so even if you accidentally put it with the paper or something, it would probably end up okay. They leave room for human error, so don't worry about it too much. How do I recycle shampoo bottles? What about ones where the top doesn't come off?
    Hi there

Shampoo bottles are fine to go in the plastics recycle box the council take all mine with the tops on I dont rinse them unless the tops come off but more often than not i just put them in but i do rinse all my milk and foodstuffs hope this helps

    Anicia
You can rinse the ones with fixed tops by sqeezing the bottle it under clean water, so it fills half up inside, give it a shake and you will get an extra hair wash out of it! Then recycle normally
recycle them by rinsing them out and put them in your recycle bin. Leave the tops in the bin too. Shampoo bottles does go to the plastic recycling and the recycle companies sort them out and they recycle it.

Plumbing Question... A top to a shampoo bottle fell down the shower drain, what should i do?

It is still draining normaly, but i dont want any future problems. Thanks!Plumbing Question... A top to a shampoo bottle fell down the shower drain, what should i do?
the trap on a shower is 2 inch, on a 2 inch line and the plastic top may not get caught, and just flow right on out the main if you are lucky. Dint do anything unless the drain gets slow. and if it does don't use chemicals, they wont work. use a small drain snake. By the way, where is your shower drain grate? get that replaced, it helps stop some hair and ';other'; things from going down the drain.Plumbing Question... A top to a shampoo bottle fell down the shower drain, what should i do?
Remove it. There is a tool used to fish out nuts and bolts from a tight area. The end flares open when you press on the handle end and you can easily grab the object. If you can't find one, use a wire hanger and shape it into a hook to catch the cap. That will work too.
Take a sharp knife and poke it into the lid, then as you are pulling it up pull it along the side of the drain so it does not fall off the knife.
have you ever heard the term IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT

if it worries you so much and you can see it just stab it with a knife and pull it out gently

Can I shampoo a rug on top of a hardwood floor?

I'd like to get our big area rug cleaned before we have family over for Thanksgiving. Can I rent a carpet shampooer and use it on the rug over a hardwood floor? It seems like it should be OK but I don't want to damage the floor. Would it be better if we folded it in half to let the floor dry in sections or something? Can I shampoo a rug on top of a hardwood floor?
As long as you do not let enough water penetrate the backing, you will be ok. It takes quite a bit of water to go thru if it is really tight underneath. Can I shampoo a rug on top of a hardwood floor?
I would suggest you contact the place that you are

renting the carpet shampooer from and ask them

    about it.

    - - - - - - - - - -
it should be fine all though i would hang it over some folding chairs to dry and rinse the floor with some clean water just to be safe
My mom had the same idea, so she shampoed the rugs and the hardwood floor was fine.

Is it OK to open the top of scented shampoo/soap to smell before you buy?

I see people doing this all the time, but sometimes store clerks will stop me and act like I had done something inappropriate. Is it OK to open the top of scented shampoo/soap to smell before you buy?
This is a tricky question by all means, because everyone is going to disagree. My own thoughts are that I normally don't do it if I know that the product is going to smell good. However, if it looks bunk of course I am going to smell it, because why would I spend money on something that smells like a musty old house? As for those who say it's gross to open and smell than I guess noone should smell the candles at Yankee Candle before buying them, or squeeze produce at the market, or try on clothes at the store to make sure they fit..you get the point. These all spread germs too. Let's not get overtly ridiculous. =P I say sniff away.Is it OK to open the top of scented shampoo/soap to smell before you buy?
    Sure, why not?

It's your right to smell out the goods before you buy it, provided its not a package of milk (lol!).

It's how I buy all my stuff! Shampoos, moisturizers, candles, conditioners, car fresheners, EVERYTHING!
The way I see it is that the seal is there for a reason. That reason is to keep the soap fresh and sanitary, remove the seal, and the product is no longer in ';new'; condition. I could see why those selling the item could have a problem with that. It makes others not want to buy and could lower the sales.
Yes, but keep your nose a decent distance from the rim of the bottle.
I think it's fine as long as you don't touch your nose on the bottle or otherwise use some of the product.
    NO

Unless the bottle is marked ';Sample'; or ';Try me';. Really how gross are you? I don't want to buy a product that your dirty little fingers have contaiminated. Gross.
You have a right to know what you're buying BEFORE you buy it -- keep opening the bottles; and if people treat you poorly ask to speak with a manager.
NEVER! I've seen so many people do that and many actually touch their nose to the container, which could spread germs.
I do that all of the time. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you don't break and plastic seals or otherwise damage the product or its packaging.
I don't see anything wrong with it.
its ok to open them provided there is a TESTER bottle.if you want to smell something sealed, ask the saleslady.
It's absolutely okay to open a product to smell it first... the problem from the store clerks point-of-view are the idiots that open an item, remove it from it's packaging, sample it, then throw the entire opened up mess back on the shelf... then grab a new un-opened one and go on their merry way!
Always! I love smelling shampoos and body washes prior to purchasing them. I need to know what I might smell like! And I don't crack the seals either...duh!
I do, I want to make sure I get the scent I pay for and that I like it because certain brands of soap and shampoo smell different even though its ';suppose'; to be the same scent.

  • Why are shampoo caps always on top and conditioner caps always on bottom?

So for a little over a year now, I've noticed that the caps/openings for shampoo bottles are always on top, so that when you put the bottle down, the place without the cap is always face down. I also noticed that for conditioner bottles, it's the opposite. The cap is always facing down. I've been trying to see even one instance when this isn't true, but I haven't found one yet. Why do they make it like this? Why are shampoo caps always on top and conditioner caps always on bottom?
It's not always like this. Yes, some are, but many aren't, and I have many shampoos and conditioners in my bathroom that disprove your statements.

My guess is that conditioner is thicker, so by turning the bottle upside down, so to speak, it will make it easier to get the conditioner out when you begin to run low. Whereas, shampoo is more ';runnier'; and easier to come out of the bottle. Why are shampoo caps always on top and conditioner caps always on bottom?
    ........ This is silly....... BUT

Shampoo is more... liquidy, and conditioner is thicker. So its easier to get the thick conditioner out of the bottle if you stand it on its lid. However shampoo is more runny and doesnt need this.
The conditioner cap is always on the bottom because conditioner is really thick and if the conditioner cap was on the top, it would take a long time to get out.
It's so people who wear glasses/contacts can easily identify the bottles without having to rely on vision while they don't have any aid.
For visual aid, and because each product has a different thickness.
To aid those who are visually impaired who rely on touch to determine things
only if the carpet matches the pubes
i never knew that NORF NORF HAHAHAHAH NORF NORF
who cares? So you can tell the difference?
they're not, some are, not all. Some Herbal Essences ones aren't.
    why does it matter?

What is a really top quality non conditioning shampoo?

I have really short wash and go hair. Sometimes I use 'product' in it for some extra shape. All the good shampoos on the market have so much added to them to make your hair shine and be soft and managable that after awhile my hair gets weighted down from all the 'extras'. I need a shampoo that will give me just some good clean fluff. I have great soft soft soft hair, but I need to wash some of the conditioners out. I shampoo every day and I need some bounce, not weight in my shampoo. What is a really top quality non conditioning shampoo?
believe this or not, 'PRELL' that's the one to get. it smells good and it doesn't have any conditioning. it will give your hair body too. take it from a hairdresserWhat is a really top quality non conditioning shampoo?
    Bumble and Bumble
    DOVE!
    treseme
Aussie has a shampoo called ';MEGA'; and it works great. I have curly hair, and I hate for it to be weighed down too. This shampoo cleans it really well- without leaving it ';squeaky'; clean (which is not good) and it feels light and flowy after I use it. I have super thick hair and I can actually feel the wind on my scalp after this shampoo.

I used to use herbal essence and it smells great, is inexpensive and makes your hair really soft. I stopped cause i started dyeing my hair and you should definitely use salon shampoos if you've dyed or damaged your hair in any way. good salon shampoos are paul mitchell, redken and kerastase
I use Sunsilk. Their price is pretty average, at 3$ for a bottle of shampoo, and the same with the conditioner. I also buy this*, works wonders, smells great! It has gotten great reviews too from magazines and TV shows.
